Electro-Hydraulic converter which is a jet pipe hydraulic regulator, has a plunger coil system that detects a direct current from the electrical L.P. Bypass governor. This electrical measured variable is converted into a force & transferred to the jet pipe.
Mode of operation: The control fluid supplied to the jet pipe via connection leaves at high speed & travels to the nozzle of the pressure distributor.
The energy due to the velocity of the jet is converted into compression energy in the pressure distributor which is connected to both sides of the associated control piston by two pipes.
If the variable to be controlled deviates from its nominal value, the jet pipe moves away from its centre position via the plunger coil system & conducts fluid above or below the associated control piston which is thus moved upwards or downwards.
