Bypass Limit Controller is a jet pipe hydraulic regulator used to prevent steam being blown in to the condenser.
Mode of operation: The control fluid supplied to the jet pipe via connection leaves at high speed & travels to the nozzles of the pressure distributor. The energy due to the velocity of the jet is converted into compression energy in the pressure distributor which is connected to both sides of the associated control piston by two pipes.
If the variable to be controlled deviates from its nominal value, the jet pipe moves away from its centre position via the corrugated tube measuring system & conducts fluid above & below the associated control piston which moves upwards & downwards.
