GUN ELEVATION DRIVE (T-90)

Hydraulic Elevation Drive:

Hydraulic Elevation Drive (HED) is used in T90 Bhishma Tanks. HED consists of a DC motor, Gear Pump & Actuating Cylinder.

Specifications:

• Pressure = 15 kg/cm2
• RPM = 3000 rpm
• CURRENT SUPPLY = 27v DC
• Angle = up to 70°

Function: Hydraulic Elevation Drive is used for elevating the Gun barrel up to 70° by the reciprocating movement of the actuating cylinder. Gear pump is driven by the DC motor which in turn supplies pressurized oil to the cylinder inlet. HED utilizes a precise control mechanism mounted on the actuating cylinder which determines the angle of the gun barrel.

We have manufactured around 10 numbers and the assembly is under tank trials. Our people have undergone training for 2 weeks at Kovrov Electromechanical Plant, Russia. We are also servicing & testing the existing T90 assemblies in the army. We also have test stands for performance testing of the Hydraulic Elevation Drive.
